Host Institute

The University of Twente (UT) stands for life sciences and technology, High tech and human touch, education and research that matter. Twente is a young and innovating region as you can see in this video. The UT is the only campus university in the Netherlands; divided in four faculties we provide more than fifty educational programmes. The UT has a strong focus on personal development and talented researchers are given scope for carrying out groundbreaking research.

The faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) comprises three disciplines that shape Information and Communication Technology. The university is a wonderful environment for research, having an informal atmosphere among colleges, together with excellent up to date facilities in all research and application fields. Last but not least we have a green campus with all possible facilities for sport, music and off-work time. For field testing of robots, including flying, there are indoor facilities as well as the new set up Space53 centre which is based at a former military airport. This facility has plenty of space for any kind for testing.  A wind-tunnel is available specifically for aerodynamics studies.
